My counseling style is based on humanistic, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches. I truly believe that clients are the experts of their own lives, and I wish to empower them as much as possible. As a counselor, my job is to listen and explore what behavioral/mental issues and stressors are impacting a client’s life. When appropriate, we might review various interventions, such as education about a specific issue, coping skills to manage stress, or interpersonal skills to improve relationships. My goal is to act as an objective sounding board, and I want clients to feel free to discuss anything with me.
